Description
These Beef Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Bites are a delightful appetizer that combines rich, savory beef with creamy mozzarella, all elegantly wrapped in prosciutto. Perfect for any gathering, they are sure to impress your guests with their burst of flavors.
Ingredients
- Beef Prosciutto
- Fresh Mozzarella (mini mozzarella balls or mozzarella sticks cut into bite-sized pieces)
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Herbs (basil or rosemary)
- Black Pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Mozzarella: Start by draining the mozzarella balls if they’re in water. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Wrap with Prosciutto: Lay a slice of beef prosciutto on a clean surface. Place a mozzarella ball at one end and roll it up tightly. The prosciutto should fully encase the mozzarella. Repeat this process until you have wrapped all the mozzarella balls.
- Secure the Bites: If desired, you can use toothpicks to secure each wrapped mozzarella bite. This also makes them easier to handle when cooking and serving.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the bites.
- Cook the Bites: Place the wrapped mozzarella bites seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the prosciutto is crispy and golden brown. Be careful not to overcook, as the cheese should remain melty inside.
- Season and Serve: Once cooked, remove the bites from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Season with freshly cracked black pepper and chopped herbs if desired. Serve immediately while the cheese is gooey and warm!
