- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until blended. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
