Description
These Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips are the ultimate easy snack! Just a handful of pantry staples, a few minutes in the air fryer, and you’ve got sweet, crispy banana bites dusted in cozy cinnamon sugar. They’re naturally sweet, super satisfying, and made with just a few ingredients—perfect for lunchboxes, healthy desserts, or topping your favorite breakfasts.
Ingredients
-
2 ripe but firm bananas (yellow, just speckled)
-
1 tsp coconut oil (or olive oil)
-
2 tsp granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
-
½ tsp ground cinnamon
-
Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
-
Prep the Bananas: Peel and slice bananas into ⅛-inch thick rounds. Try to keep them uniform so they cook evenly.
-
Coat with Oil & Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Brush banana slices lightly with oil on both sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
-
Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C). Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the basket (you may need to work in batches). Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and lightly crisp.
-
Cool & Crisp Up: Remove from air fryer and let chips cool completely—they’ll continue to crisp as they cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Notes
-
Thinner slices = crispier chips. Use a mandoline if you have one!
-
Every air fryer is a little different—start checking around the 7-minute mark.
-
Want to skip the sugar? Just use cinnamon for a naturally sweet version.
-
Great for topping yogurt, oatmeal, or packing into snack bags.
