  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Creamy Garlic Butter Salmon Recipe is everything we love about comfort food: rich, garlicky, buttery, and absolutely packed with flavor. Tender pan-seared salmon fillets are nestled into a velvety white sauce made with garlic, lemon, parmesan, and cream—all in one skillet, in under 30 minutes. Perfect for date nights, weeknights, or any time you’re craving something that feels fancy but comes together with ease.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ cup chicken broth or dry white wine

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Sear the Salmon: Season salmon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Build the Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in broth or wine, scraping up any browned bits, and let reduce by half (2–3 minutes).

  • Make it Creamy: Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Finish & Serve: Return salmon to the pan and spoon sauce over the top. Let simmer gently for 1–2 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For dairy-free, substitute coconut cream and skip the parmesan.

  • Sauce too thick? Add a splash of broth or cream to loosen it.

  • Want extra greens? Add spinach or kale before returning the salmon to the sauce.

  • Great with mashed potatoes, pasta, or roasted veggies.
