- Flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce
- Cornstarch
- Vegetable oil
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Sriracha
- Bell peppers, sliced
- Onions, sliced
- Garlic, freshly minced
- Ginger, freshly minced
- Spring onions, chopped
Instructions
- Slice your beef thinly against the grain and place it in a bowl.
- Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of cornstarch to the beef and mix well. Let it marinate for about 15-30 minutes.
- Sprinkle additional cornstarch over the marinated beef slices and toss until each piece is well coated.
- In a large pan or wok, heat a generous amount of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add the beef slices in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, add more oil if needed and toss in minced garlic, ginger, and sliced bell peppers and onions. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
- Pour in the sweet chilli sauce and sriracha, stirring well to combine with the vegetables. Let it simmer for a minute to thicken slightly.
- Add the crispy beef back into the pan and gently toss everything together to ensure the beef is well coated with the sauce.
- Sprinkle chopped spring onions over the top for garnish and serve immediately.

Keywords: For extra crispiness, consider double frying the beef slices. Adjust the spice level by starting with less sriracha and tasting before adding more.
