  • Author: Ava
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Description

These Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups are a delightful fusion of creamy, spicy, and cheesy flavors encased in a crispy wonton shell. Perfect for any gathering, they are easy to make and impossible to resist!

Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Jalapenos, diced
  • Cooked ground beef or beef bacon bits
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup standard muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Carefully dice your fresh jalapenos, removing all seeds and white membranes for a milder kick.
  3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, diced jalapenos, and finely cooked ground beef or beef bacon bits. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, and mix until well combined.
  4. Take a wonton wrapper and gently press it into each cup of the prepared muffin tin, forming a little cup shape.
  5. Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, spoon about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of the jalapeno popper filling into each wonton cup.
  6. Place the muffin tin into your preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once baked, carefully remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the wonton cups cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before gently lifting them out. Serve warm.
