This Apple Pie Dip is a creamy, dreamy treat that captures the essence of autumn with its warm flavors of cinnamon and baked apples. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in, it’s a nostalgic snack that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped into ¼-inch cubes)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 flour tortillas (6-inch)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your apples. Peel, core, and chop 5 medium apples into ¼-inch cubes.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the chopped apples with 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, and 1 cup water. Stir well to coat the apples in the sugars and spices.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook the apple mixture for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. While the apples are cooking, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl to create a slurry.
  5. Once the apples are tender, add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan. Stir well and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  6. While the apple filling cools slightly, prepare the cinnamon sugar tortilla chips. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Cut the 8 flour tortillas into triangles and arrange them on a baking sheet. Spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
  8. In a small bowl, mix 1/3 cup granulated sugar with 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the tortilla triangles.
  9. Bake the tortilla chips in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are crispy and lightly golden.
  10. Once the chips are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes. In the meantime, transfer the warm apple pie filling to a serving bowl.
  11. Serve the Apple Pie Dip warm, alongside the cinnamon sugar tortilla chips.
