Ingredients
- Store-Bought Pizza Dough
- Homemade Dough (flour, yeast, water, sugar, salt)
- Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella
- White Provolone (optional, about 1/4 of the total cheese volume)
- Grated Parmesan (optional, for sprinkling)
- Unsalted Butter
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Dried Oregano
- Dried Parsley
- Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- If using store-bought pizza dough, allow it to come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Lightly flour a clean work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, roughly 10×14 inches and about 1/4 inch thick.
- Carefully transfer your rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Evenly sprinkle your freshly grated mozzarella cheese (and any optional provolone) over the entire surface of the dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
- Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, lightly score the dough into your desired stick shapes, about 1-inch wide sticks.
- Place the baking sheet with your cheese-covered dough into the preheated oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- While the cheese sticks are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small bowl. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried parsley, and salt until well combined.
- As soon as the cheese sticks come out of the oven, transfer them to a wire rack and generously brush the entire surface with the prepared garlic butter mixture.
- If you scored the dough, now is the time to cut all the way through the lines. Serve immediately with your favorite marinara sauce for dipping.

Keywords: Avoid overworking the dough to maintain a soft and chewy texture. Use freshly grated mozzarella for better melting and flavor, and apply the garlic butter immediately after baking for maximum flavor absorption.
