- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in 2 large eggs, one at a time, followed by 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together 2 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix!
- Gently fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center looks slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie while they are still warm.
