Description

These Cheeseburger Sliders On Hawaiian Rolls are the perfect bite-sized treat for any occasion, combining savory beef, gooey cheese, and the delightful sweetness of Hawaiian rolls. Easy to make and utterly delicious, they’re sure to be a hit at your next gathering!

Ingredients

  • Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • Ground Beef (80/20 lean)
  • Cheese Slices (American, sharp cheddar, Colby Jack, or provolone)
  • Onion (finely diced, yellow or white)
  • Dill pickle chips
  • Butter (melted)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Optional toppings/sauces (sesame seeds, ketchup, mayo, relish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray it lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Carefully slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally through the middle, keeping them connected as much as possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls into your prepared baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook your ground beef until it's fully browned. As it cooks, add the finely diced onion (if using) and stir it in. Season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Once the beef is cooked through, drain any excess grease thoroughly.
  3. Evenly spread the seasoned ground beef mixture over the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls in the baking dish.
  4. Arrange a layer of cheese slices over the ground beef. Use about 6-8 slices for good coverage. Then, gently place your pickle chips over the cheese.
  5. Add another layer of cheese slices on top of the pickles. Carefully place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls back over the filling.
  6. In a small bowl, melt your butter. Brush the melted butter generously over the top of the rolls. Optionally, sprinkle some sesame seeds over the buttered tops.
  7. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly, and the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crisp.
  8. Once baked, remove the dish from the oven. Let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice the sliders into individual portions along the lines of the rolls. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauces on the side.
