This Snickers Apple Salad combines sweet and tart apples with creamy yogurt and crunchy Snickers bars, creating a delicious dessert or side dish that’s easy to make and sure to impress at any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 medium-sized apples (a mix of sweet and tart, like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup of Snickers candy bars, chopped (about 4–5 bars)
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- 1 cup of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 cup of vanilla yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt for added creaminess)
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (to prevent browning)
Instructions
- Wash the apples thoroughly under cold water and dry them with a paper towel.
- Core and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces, leaving the skin on for texture if desired.
- Place the chopped apples in a large mixing bowl, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss gently to coat.
- Unwrap the Snickers bars and chop them into small pieces (about 1/2-inch chunks).
- Set the chopped Snickers aside in a small bowl.
- In the bowl with the apples, add the mini marshmallows and chopped Snickers.
- In a separate bowl, combine the whipped topping and vanilla yogurt to create the dressing.
- Gently fold the dressing into the apple, Snickers, and marshmallow mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts for added crunch.
- Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salad to a serving dish and cover.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and the salad to firm up.
- Before serving, give the salad a gentle stir to redistribute the ingredients.
- Scoop the salad into individual serving bowls or onto a large platter, garnishing with extra chopped Snickers or nuts if desired.
- For an extra touch, drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute the whipped topping with a lighter option or use Greek yogurt exclusively.
- Experiment with different apple varieties to find your favorite combination.
- This salad can be made a day in advance; just keep it covered in the fridge until ready to serve.
