Description
Experience the bold flavors of Texas Roadhouse with this Garlic Butter Chicken Skillet. This quick and easy dish combines tender chicken and vibrant veggies in a luscious garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian seasoning
- Butter
- Fresh minced garlic
- Bell peppers
- Onions
- Chicken broth
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season them generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the seasoned chicken pieces, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the chicken is cooked, push it to one side of the skillet. Add another tablespoon of butter to the empty side and toss in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then mix it with the chicken.
- Toss in your chopped bell peppers and onions. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still crisp.
- Add the chicken broth to the skillet, scraping the bottom to deglaze and release all those flavorful bits. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining butter and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve the skillet hot, ideally over a bed of rice or with warm bread to soak up that delicious garlic butter sauce.
